Dublin is an expensive city to sleep, and the Dean is - compared to other hotels - relatively expensive too. We were upgraded to a very nice suite which eased the ‘pain’....

It is situated between two nightclubs of the trashy kind and has its own DJs as well. Keep that in mind when you book.

Sophie’s has a nice terrace and good food and good service. All in all not a bad experience.

No doubt, nice place, nice design, well located. Staff is friendly and supporting where possible. In the evening the place becomes a really cool party place. Wonderful! You will meet others and have a great time - if you look for candlelight atmosphere; this is the wrong choice. I would come again!

Staying here feels like your bed is inside a night club! The design is really great, but they just have to get better window glazing. A totally sleepless night! The ear plugs don’t quite solve the problem.

I had a hard time deciding how to rate this hotel. I chose this hotel due to the proximity to my office and really did like everything about it...except for the noise. It sits in between two nightclubs, which don't close until 4 AM and the noise is unbearable. Apparently there are no noise ordinances in Dublin, so the night clubs don't have any restrictions about how loud they can get. I was there for 3 nights, midweek, and every night was louder than the next. If you're OK with that, the hotel itself is great. Very cool vibe, great bar and restaurants and the the rooms are good sized. As long as sleep isn't important, you'll love this place.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor room, far away from the night clubs.

This hotel is seemingly located above or near a club that pounds music until 4am. The front desk staff could care less if you are inconvenienced. The quote was ‘our hotel is not for everybody.’ They should replace ‘everybody’ with ‘anybody.’
