It was a nice way to see a bit of Dublin and our guide could spend a good yarn. He was well prepared and fun.

I arrived last Friday (22 June) too early to check in at my Dublin hostel (Jacobs Inn), but just in time to catch the walking tour. Keith was our tour guide and was great fun. His passion for Irish history and culture was evident, and he had a great sense of humor. The tour itself was great as we got to see many sites and learned a lot about Dublin. I also met a lot of friends from my hostel on this tour (which was an unexpected treat) and we all agreed to do the bar crawl later that night.

The bar crawl later at night, run by this same company, was also lots of fun. Our guide was Ruairi, who was humorous, helpful and patient (dealing with a giant group of drunk ppl can't be the most fun). We got to see at least 5 bars, didn't have to pay for entry (bar crawl cost was only €12), and got a free Guiness. The only amusing thing about this crawl were the free "shots". This is not a reflection of the tour company, but they definitely were laughable shots-tasted like sugar/candy with no alcohol. The bar crawl was great fun and my favorite bars were BadBobs (great live music) and Whelan's (massive, popular place).

Both of these events, and their guides, helped make my first day in Dublin incredible. Highly recommend doing both, especially the walking tour!

Ryan was our tour guide - he brimmed with enthusiasm about Irish history, was very knowledgeable and entertaining, and was always willing to answer individual questions as we walked between stops.

Alan was great! He was obviously knowledgeable about more than his assigned topic, and we had some very interesting conversations while walking from one point to the next. I think next time I would do the historical tour just to complete the package.
Highly recommend!
