Each of the three activities brought value to the overall experience. I do advise an early arrival to avoid the large crowds. Children 8 and over will be able to gain from the experience. The books are amazing to view.

Just learning the history behind the Book of Kells and seeing the Old Library is amazing in itself. Do yourself a favor and make sure you get a skip the line guided tour to get the full effect of your visit and the knowledge of the guide, Brian was great! It’s worth the money to have a guide, you’ll learn so much more about the details, rather then just walking aimlessly around.

I'm a book nut so just went to see the library, wasn't too fused about the religious texts themselves. However the texts were beautiful and there was loads of information available about them too. The library was stunning and people were on hand to answer questions. Only thing that ruined it was a number of americans loudly stating the book was a fake and arguing with those who disagreed (keep your opinions to yourselves), which took away from the solum feeling in the room the texts were on display.
Would recommend booking online to avoid queuing.

The Book of Kells, along with other ancient religious manuscripts, are artfully displayed and described in this wonderful place. We learned so much about these beautiful manuscripts. In addition, the Old Library is breathtaking. What a classic place, and a tribute to universities of old.

So much to see and learn while here. The Old Library was wonderful to walk through, so many books! And of course the main attraction was the Book of Kells. Definitely a must-see while in Dublin.
