Our trip to Dublin was arranged by our family for our Christmas gift. It was also my December birthday and retirement so a special time. The hotel and staff exceeded expectations. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was beautiful!! Chocolates and macaroons were also given!! So thoughtful!! The decor of the hotel is sumptuous but not stuffy. It is comfortable and relaxing with beautiful and tasteful artwork around you and lots of little hidden corners to chill. The staff couldn't be better and are a credit to the hotel. Location wise, the bus stop in to central Dublin is only a short walk away and is only 2.70 euros. It runs every 10 minutes. We are in the knights bar and Fahrenheit restaurant and the food was amazing. We also had sandwiches on return one evening and they were gorgeous and reasonable in price. What a lovely break!!! Would we return?... definitely!!!

My sisters and I took my mum here for a birthday treat and we were not disappointed!! The hotel is just 5 minutes in a taxi from Connolly St station! The hotel exterior and interior is beautiful. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming! When we booked we thought we had booked into the restaurant for dinner but reception hadn't received the booking and couldn't accommodate us as it was full! We decided to eat in the bar because we wanted to stay in the hotel to eat after a busy day travelling/shopping! The bar was also full! We spoke to the Bar Manager John who couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating!! All in all our stay was brilliant and I've already rebooked for another stay!! The staff are lovely and every hotel should have a John working in it. Your staff are a credit to you Clontarf Castle! See you again soon :)

Epic hotel, lots of history and character but also modern and luxurious. Staff friendly, food lovely, touches like open fires and decor add to the experience. Would definitely stay again. Not much to do locally, but the castle is a great place to stay.

Stayed in an Exec Double. I normally love 'rooms with a view' which Clontarf does not provide but boy does Contarf make up for this. Loved my stay, room spacious, modern but strangely comforting -I would suggest the BEST breakfast in Dublin.

The hotel is beautiful, from coming up the drive to walking into the lobby. The staff was friendly and very helpful with questions about getting around and the hotel itself. We had dinner at the restaurant, and it was great! Portions were large, and everything was perfect. Next time, I will definitely stay more than one night!
