Stayed here recently with a group of travel agents.

The Mill Park Hotel is a beautiful hotel in Donegal, about a 10 minute walk from the town centre.
It has a friendly country feel, and a very classy, old world decor.

The staff were fantastic, especially the bar staff who were happy to recommend and let us try some local gins.

Breakfast was delicious and offered plenty of choice.

Rooms were very spacious and cosy, again with a country feel to them. The bed linen was really plush and luxurious as well, and everything was spotless.

Overall I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious and authentic option.

I stayed in this beautiful hotel for 1 night with my husband and parents.

We had the misfortune of arriving to check-in at the same time as a wedding reception were having their arrival drinks. This made it difficult to wade through the crowds to get to the reception desk with our overnight cases. When we did reach the reception desk there were half eaten canapés & part used drinks glasses strewn across the counter. Not a great first impression. However thankfully things improved from there. The reception staff were very attentive & had us checked in swiftly. We were a bit overwhelmed & disorientated from all the noise, so it was a nice touch when a member of staff walked us to our room. They also explained the time the wedding party would be moving on for dinner, so we were able to time our dinner to avoid having to battle the crowds again.

The hotel rooms were fabulous. Large in size & the decor exuded luxury & opulence. The bathroom was spotless & a huge walk in shower. I immediately knew I could relax after a long & tiring day. My parents room had differing decor but was of an equal high standard. The only criticism of their room was their TV didn’t work. And although they called for someone to repair it; the attempt was unsuccessful. Thankfully free WiFi, an iPad & a complimentary newspaper from the hotel were on hand.

We ate dinner in the bar & although we waited quite a long time for our food, it was definitely worth the wait. The quality of the food was outstanding! And our table servers were pleasant, attentive & had a bit of banter. Breakfast the next morning was of a similarly high standard with lots of variety.

I would definitely stay in this hotel again & would highly recommend it.

We were in Donegal at the Rossnowlagh vintage car and tractor event we have stayed all around Donegal with friends and family and we unfortunately decided to stay in the Mill park. The staff were very friendly the rooms were spotless the hotel reception area was spotless the breakfast was great but on arrival the room was filled with the stink of someone smoking, on closer inspection there was an ashtray on the wall outside it was smouldering away and the stink had filled the room because the emergency exit was open at the end of the corridor and this allowed the smell to linger, because our room was on the ground floor which had a door leading out into a car park so you couldn’t leave the window or door ajar to let the smell out when we were heading into the town. You couldn’t get the heat out of the room at night as anyone passing could enter the room by the window also there was no privacy due to only having the heavy curtains that you could only close at night during the day you would need some sort of voile for privacy. But the worst thing was it had a connecting door to another bedroom you could hear everything that was going on including being waken by their vibrating alarm going off at 6 am so the advice is choose your room wisely try for the upper floors and without a connection door to another room. It is a nice hotel but our experience was poor. Mill park you should look at the window security and some sort of sound insulation between connections doors.
