Mill Park Hotel is more than just a place to sleep; it could be a destination in itself. The grounds are beautiful with outdoor seating areas; there are two restaurants as well as a fitness center and pool with a hot tub. Our room was huge with a bright sitting area under a slanting roof with two large windows set behind a thick drapery so the light was blocked out and the person who woke up earlier could enjoy the morning sun without disturbing the late sleeper. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. My only caveat is to be aware that the 10 minute walk into town is hilly (it's Ireland, after all), but totally doable.

What can we say but the whole experience of staying at the Mill Park Hotel was fantastic. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were looked after by very friendly accommodating staff. The rooms were lovely and very clean, the service form all staff was of the highest standards. The food was great, especially the breakfast. Over all we loved our stay and will be returning again.

Went to a wedding there. The food for such a large group was just excellent. Loads of it. Staff were lovely. Room was huge!!

Breakfast is surprisingly below average considering how expensive it is to stay there. Really lets the hotel down as everything else was excellent.

This hotel is very easy to find on a road around the town so you don’t have to go through Donegal town.
We were there for a wedding and so didn’t go into the town itself so don’t know how easy it is or how long it takes.

The grounds are quite big and they have an overflow parking area around the back although it does mean that you have to walk all the way around to the front door as we didn’t see any other access points
Wifi is free and the signal was good throughout the hotel

Check in was easy but we found getting to the room a little confusing, as you walk towards the rooms the first elevator you see only takes you to the first floor and you have to walk down the corridor past rooms to get to the second elevator. This wasn’t obvious and there wasn’t any signs to say this, although there are signs showing the way to the restaurant, reception etc..

Once we got to the room it was lovely, bright, airy and clean with space to put luggage without taking up too much room. The bed was comfortable and the room had the normal amenities such as tea & coffee, TV, desk, table & chairs.
There was no bedside lighting and so you had to turn off the lights beside the main door and then find your way to the bed, I managed to sub my toe doing this

The bathroom wasn’t as big or airy in that you had to open the door fully before you could get past the sink to get in and out. Also there is a shelf above the sink which I’m always a little uncomfortable about as you could easily hit your head on it when bending over to wash your face.

We only used the restaurant for breakfast which was good & hearty. You had the normal breakfast buffet with cereal, fruit, yoghurt, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon and they even had a pancake maker with toppings. The good thing is that they bring the tea, coffee and toast to your table so that the buffet area isn’t blocked up with people waiting on the toaster which is always a problem in other hotels

The hotel does have lovely grounds with peaceful areas were you can sit out on a good day. We didn’t use the pool or spa so can’t comment on them

Overall the staff were friendly and efficient and we had a pleasant enough stay in the hotel

Lovely setting, well landscaped. Set back from the road and no highway noise even with the window open. Large, bright, cheerful rooms. Good WiFi. Breakfast and evening meals were very good. We enjoyed our two nights there.
