A group of 21 of us were in Cork as part of a garden tour. Our hotel was changed only two weeks before we were to arrive there. Though I was a little concerned, it turns out that we were booked at the Kingsley, and what a delight!
The room was large, bright, newly appointed, with a truly beautiful and spacious bathroom. We older ladies worry about stepping out of the high European bathtubs, but not at the Kingsley. We could choose to use the walk-in shower instead!
The Kingsley had a love breakfast dining room that looked out at the river, with a very satisfying and complete buffet. The dinner dining room was quite elegant, but it was the food that really delighted us. We were on a tour, remember, which means that we chose from a restricted menu. But, no worries: the menu offer 3 tempting choices for each course. Every bite I ate was delicious. Of course there were too many bites . . . but that's MY problem, not the Kingleys.
I highly recommend this friendly and attractive hotel.More
