Our room was very clean and provided a kitchen, living room and a bedroom with a bathroom. It was not in the downtown area but next to the University of Cork. A nice enough area, but a little bit of a walk to the downtown area. However, there were busses that came by regularly.

This was one of the nicest B&B's I've ever stayed at. While the room was rather small, it had everything I needed and was very comfortable. Nice soft bed and plenty of pillows. A nice bathroom with an excellent shower. The front desk staff was outstanding and Marcel was so darn nice and helpful. My only complaint was that the hot water was scauldingly hot.

Room Tip: Any room is nice.

I had the pleasure of staying at Garnish House as part of a small group tour of Ireland. It is a very small inn. The rooms are simple and comfortable, and ours had a bathroom en suite. It is a 10 minute walk to the center of Cork, and across the street from what looks like a beautiful college campus

But the real treasure here is breakfast!! An extensive and beautiful continental breakfast buffet is offered, in addition to more fresh patries on your table, and selection of wonderful made-to-order options. I honestly don't know how an inn this small can offer one of the best breakfast experiences I've EVER had at a hotel or even on a cruise ship.

And to top it off, the food is served beautifully, and delivered with a smile. This was far and away the best breakfast than any other Inn we visited in our ten days in Ireland.

Room Tip: Note that many rooms are upstairs, and require the use of steps. Hotel staff are happy to assist with luggage.

We were a group of 8 family & friends, stayed in 4 rooms, and had a great time visiting the local pubs! Our rooms were clean & fully operational. Showers worked well, along with the heaters. And breakfast was fabulous! Best part of the stay was location -- walking distance to a number of fine pubs serving great food & drink.

Room Tip: We had 4 rooms, spread out within 2 buildings, all were good. Parking is a little tight, but normal for staying near city center.
