A very modern clean house with everything you could need for a long stay. Only a short drive from Cork City so very convenient. Also, the view of Blarney Castle and the sunrise and sunset every day was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again!
The cottage is in a great location & Blarney is lovely with a really good selection of excellent places to eat. Having the castle and woollen mill in walking distance is brilliant for a much needed day out without the car. The house is spacious and toasty warm but lacks a few home finishes and attention to detail which would have made it ideal.
Pat was unreservedly responsive to our comments.
Excellent accommodation, everything you need, private & quiet. Owner left you alone, he left very good instructions for everything, WIFI excellent. Brilliant views from the accommodation. Less than 5mins walk into Blarney Square, buses every 30mins into Cork City Centre. Would recommend *****
Bad start - no hot water on the first night due to a boiler glitch. Argh! Issue resolved the following morning. To compensate for the overnight hassle, the owner kindly provided us with a very generous gift voucher - dinner for two in a local restaurant. Thanks Pat – much appreciated.
The disappointing start continued as we prepared to cook our first meal. Alas, much of the kitchen crockery, utensils and glassware could have been cleaner.
Minor gripes included furniture that was a bit on the sparse side. A couple of small coffee tables would have been welcome. The ceiling lighting was a bit iffy – rather gloomy if truth be told. Ok for TV watching, but not too clever if you wanted to read. A couple of freestanding lights would make all the difference. Surprisingly, both TVs were tricky to operate. Indeed, Pat had to come out to the property on the first night to set them up. A common problem apparently.
On the plus side, the property is modern, comfortable and spacious with a large open-plan kitchen. There are terrific views from the lounge – including Blarney Castle. It is in an excellent location for sightseeing drives to the Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula, Kinsale etc.
Blarney itself is a pleasant town with ample shops and food stores. It has a variety of eating places - from ubiquitous pub grub venues to a couple of fine dining restaurants. There is also an excellent bus service to Cork.
Yes, It wouldn’t take much to turn this holiday accommodation into a real 5 star gem.

Had a fabulous 6 night stay in this spacious property with stunning views of Blarney and Blarney castle. Although there is a big lounge area we loved the hub of the kitchen and seating area, so barely used the lounge. Would definately rent again.
