We traveled to Ireland with our 2 university students, a college student, and our 3 year old. We absolutely loved the place. Wish we could have stayed longer. So comfortable and homey. It was very clean. We were very warm and cozy, after we bought logs at the store, per the notes left by the owner. The packet was very helpful and informative. There was ample parking, and an outside clothesline. Beautiful kitchen fitted out with every appliance needed, including a dishwasher, huge refrigerator . We loved the wood burner, and the gas fire. There are 4 bedrooms, which was so nice for our group. We thought the beds were comfortable. We appreciated having a bathtub. Loved all the books, and music. We put on music in the morning and ate breakfast to beautiful Irish tunes, while looking out at the Blarney Castle! Two Tv's for our two different age groups, was very helpful. We were supplied with a cot and toys for a baby, but our 3 year old loved playing with them. We loved having a washing machine and did in fact wash two loads...our 3 year old had a bad 'accident', so it was much appreciated to be able to do a wash! The house was well fitted with everything we needed...except soap, tea towels or kitchen paper towels..which we had no problem working around. The grocery was just a 5 minute walk away. It is after all, a "Self Catering" rental home! It truly was a wonderful place, perfectly positioned for tourism. The only draw back in the whole experience is that there is no wifi. It really is awful, as one wants to upload their photos and communicate at the end of the day. The pay as you go is too complicated and expensive to use. There are no other bad things to mention; but a couple of suggestions. Besides getting wifi, I would suggest a landline in the home, in case of an emergency, as those of us from around the world do not know how to dial up the local emergency services, or some may not even have a phone with them, to call for help, in case of an emergency. The other suggestion is that instructions be included on how to re-lock the door! We had a terrible time figuring that out! We eventually did, but it was frustrating while we were trying to get out the door! That was when we wished we had a house phone where we could call the owner to ask about locking the door!

The house was lovely. Full of useful cooking utensils and equipment. Also bits and pieces of useful foodstuffs, ie, condiments, sauces etc. Location was fantastic, view was wonderful. All in all, very suitable for a family with children. Would definitely book again
We only stayed for a couple of nights to go to a family wedding in Blarney but the house was perfectly located with everything within easy walking distance, and the rooms were spacious and well kitted out so I would wholeheartedly recommend it and would be happy to go back for a longer stay.
Fabulous house overlooking Blarney Castle. We stayed in July for 3 nights. nice size, separate lounge for quiet time. host left lovely note and comment card for feedback. Beds were comfy, nice large towels, pillows ok. No tea towels for wiping dishes, no paper towel in kitchen. Apart from location of toilet (no room) and flushing issues with toilet in main bathroom, everything else was great. Would recommend and would be more than happy to stay again. Plenty of off street parking. Wifi bit rich...... noted in papers left it would be 3euro per day, but when you login to top up minimum top up is 10euro.
This house was very comfortable for our family of 7. It had a postcard view of Blarney Castle! It was walking distance to the castle, grocery store and pubs. We were a short drive from Cork City. Will definitely come back!
