It is really wonderful to be able to wander around among the stones. So glad they haven’t had to have been fenced off. The view is amazing. This is a must do in my opinion. It’s free and there is no one to rush you so you can take your time and wander to your hearts content and picture what it was like when they were first erected. There is a nice gift shop and clean toilets. Also a small cafe. We didn’t buy any food, but it looked clean.

We saw quite a few Standing Stones on our trip but these were the most impressive to look at. Well worth a visit to The Isle of Lewis and Harris.

Worth a visit to see the ancient mystery of the area. Great views over the loch as well. Well stocked shop and cafe and useful storyboard museum if a bit expensive.
