Amazing food (dinner and breakfast), comfy bed, relaxing Jacuzzi bath to soak the bones after a long days walk around Pitlochry, and a great selection of whisky and gin. Staff were very attentive and accommodating - a great find!

This is a quaint little place.staff are lovely and service is good.
We had the four poster bedroom, it was quite small but ok. The bathroom was very large. It quite close to a major road that is busy day and night and although there’s a field between the hotel and road it’s quite noisy. We sleep with our window open and found it intrusive. Other than that it’s a great stop over. I do think they should have fridges in the rooms that have space though. Breakfast was very good, be warned they serve large portions!

The Hotel was great and the staff lovely and very friendly. Our room was very comfy although a little small as we had a dog too, so had to accommodate her bed and a little table with dishes. She's a Lab so a big dog. But it wasn't a problem. The problem came, when we arrived and was told that dogs were not allowed in the bar area, therefore we couldn't have her in there with us for our evening meal or breakfast. When I booked the hotel, I 'phoned and asked where dogs were allowed and was lead to believe she would be allowed in the bar area. Had they said otherwise, we would not have booked the hotel and gone else where. In the end, we were allowed to have breakfast in the bar with the dog. She was too young to be left in the room, and they ask you not to do that anyway, and too hot to be left in the car. Fortunately, we could eat outside, which was lovely and go in to the lounge with her later if we wished. Sadly, because of this, we will not be going back to the hotel, and that is a shame, because it is a lovely. We will be going back to Pitlochry though as it's such a beautiful place to visit.

Room Tip: If there are shutters, use them....certainly makes the room a lot darker.

I was a little disappointed. The mattress in the room had been turned to hide a stain but I must say the food was excellent especially the evening meal which was a 5/5. I don’t enjoy being asked to add a gratuity to a hotel bill. I expect what I pay for.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The accommodation was good and the food was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Being close to the A9 was ideal for getting to the hotel and other places - and the rooms were well sound proofed so the road noise was only an issue when in the grounds of the hotel.
