Yesterday lunchtime we greatly enjoyed the four course tasting menu (£22) accompanied by the paired wines (£15). The intensity of flavours of the smoked haddock and sweetcorn soup was superb. The mushroom ketchup complemented the egg and maple panchetta for the second course. The beef bavette for the main course was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented, as was the whipped crowdie and bitter chocolate sorbet garnished with brambles for dessert. I couldn’t fault the meal or wine selection, which was exceptionally good value for money and is highly recommended.
