Visually fabulous castle, with stunning photographic opportunities. Evocative setting, with centuries of history unfolded.

This castle is such a landmark. It is absolutely necessary to stop and get a glimpse of history and take in the sights, and get an understanding of the historical significance of this great castle which stands at a major strategic location for the highlands at the junction of 3 lochs. Can be a bit crowded but its popularity is warranted. Spend time at the beginning watching the "ghost" videos that tell the story of various characters who who inhabited the castle. An excellent visit.

More like a vanity project. No original structure but all early 1900's construction made to look old. Built in porcelain wash stands and running water in bed chambers. Furniture and "historical documents are almost all 20th century. Picturesque and interesting but a Disney-like reproduction.

The view of this castle, especially at high tide in the evening at sunset are breathtaking. It was rebuilt in the 1920's, so it's not very old in it's present form. But still very cool to tour and learn about.

Certainly worth stopping as it is a dream like setting. Just stopping and taking pictures is worth the price. A lot of tourists and groups. The interior isn’t much or even historic. Just a nice place to take pics.
