This beautifully renovated Old Cottage retains its charm and character while being very up-to-date with great kitchen and modernized bathrooms. Room heaters were quick to warm as it was in the 50s at night. The property both inside and outside was very clean and tidy. The upstairs bedroom with the double bed and slanted ceiling was awkward for tall adults. Downstairs bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable. The five of us filled the small, but comfortable living room. The house was nicely supplied with milk and basic foodstuffs for our first breakfast.. Directions and the information sheet which we picked up with the key were clear and covered everything we needed to know for a fun stay.

I can only say cottage is absolutely fabulous clean tidy great kitchen stayed here for two two week stints now and we are going back again for a week I'm only sorry to we can't stay here any longer

We had the pleasure of staying at the Old Cottage for 3 nights in early October. The house is exactly what we wanted, quaint and reminded us of what an old English cottage would look like. The cottage is well equipped and the owner was very accommodating. The walk was lovely but at least 25 minutes to downtown on hilly roads so not really suitable for someone with mobility issues. The buses in October run on shortened timetables and quit running at 6 pm. Cab fare from downtown was £7.
