“great family stay”
Reviewed 21 December 2016 for a stay in December 2016

The cottage is in an Excellent location in Aviemore not far from the resorts center. It is very cosy, clean and warm has everything you would need for a self catering stay. All the appliances kettle, toaster, cooker, dishwasher and washing machine are all in very good condition. There is also a wood burning fire which is great for sitting around at night. The owners had made the cottage feel very Christmassy which was just lovely. Our stay was with 4 adults and 2 children, the kids just loved the bunk beds, our beds were also nice and comfortable. There is a large new walk in shower room with separate loo down stairs. We would all definitely say here again, our Aussie grand kids just loved the staircase lol

“Log Burner and trains top notch”
Reviewed 23 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Excellent location, very clean, a comfortable home from home. We'd return. The log burner was an excellent addition. Only thing lacking was a view, they view was grand, but mostly a train shed- it made you head outside for the views.

Thanks for the review folks. Glad you enjoyed the log burner. Can't do too much about the downstairs view....The views of the Cairngorms from the upstairs window is great when it's clear!!
All the best

“Family Stay at Aviemore”
Reviewed 10 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, well laid out and well stocked with everyday things one always seems to forget when self catering. It is in an excellent location for walking into town and ideally situated for car parking (we had two cars).

One minor point, if there was a clothesline within the terrace area this would have been of great benefit, especially traveling with 4 children. The single clothes horse, didn't really cut the mustard.

I would have no hesitation in staying there again, nor in recommending it onwards.

“Lovely cottage, great location”
Reviewed 26 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2016 and loved the cottage. It was spacious and comfortable. It had a lovely patio with sliding door and we got to sit out as it was warm enough. The kitchen is well equipped and has a big fridge/freezer (we are thinking of coming back next year with our 2 grandsons). The Highland MacKenzie Inn is now dog friendly so that makes 2 pubs you can take the dog and enjoy a drink or a meal (the other being The Old Bridge Inn). Do not be put off by the fact the railway is behind the cottage the noise is minimal and they stop around 10:30pm - only noticed 2 or 3 the whole stay.
