As the name implies this is in a good position for visiting some of the landmarks of this city. The impressive Victorian canopy unfortunately is overshadowed and hidden by the surrounding buildings. It is only when you are closer to it that you can take in its beauty. The station itself is functional and has a number of restaurants, close to the entrances.

And older hotel is built right into the station. The station is pretty well organized and you can get trains to wherever. The food choice and homeless situation/surrounding area are a little bit wanting.

Glasgow Central gives a grand impression to the arriving or departing traveller. It has lots of the original decor still in situ and is well worth a look around if you have time. However, I note that the Network Rail 'free toilets' promise has still not arrived here, and 40p to use a urinal is rather taking the p... Even London station toilets are cheaper!

A great and impressive station. We travelled from Newcastle to Glasgow. It was great experience. The scenic journey and comfortable train made the journey enjoyable.

As one of the major transport hubs in Glasgow, Central Station is a credit to the city. The open area in which the arrivals and departure boards are located is often busy but never congested.
There are various exits to get you to the east, west and north sides of town easily with Gordon Street being the main one used by most travellers. For that reason the forecourt can get a bit chaotic.
There are plenty of places to get good and drink, whether you fancy a full meal or a quick snack.
Plenty of ticket machines and ticket windows keep the queueing time low if you are making a last minute journey. There is even a dedicated Virgin West Coast office.
A highlight is the public use piano which often gets played by some very talented people
Only downside is the charge for using the toilets.
