What a building. We loved this station. Fantastic building inside and out. Well worth a visit. Very friendly staff on site to help with your enquiries. Go and see it.

Gasgow train station is nice inside but outside is much like the rest of the city seemingly destitute with beggars on every street corner even the local council out in force handing out fines for dropping a cig and for driving on roads that turn into bus and taxi lanes for no apparent reason other than to hand out more fines The people are unfriendly and the weather is rubbish stay away there are much nicer cities in the UK to visit.

Plus points are it has a graet atmosphere, good shops, fabulous victorian architecture and history. Negatives...the toilets are downstairs except I imagine disabled ones. Also it no longer has vehicle access so you cant get dropped off. THere is taxi access at the front. But if for example you are travelling alone and need picked up at eg midnight then people just have to hope they can get parked in the street and walk over to get you - not ideal at all. Not the station's fault necessarily - the roads around are all bus-laned too etc so watch out !

Loved the interior of the Central station. The wood in the interior is amazing. Lots of shops and cafés.
Lots of movement.
