“Spacious, high quality place to stay with the perfect host!”

My friends and I have recently stayed at Northcliff Manor when we visited for a wedding.
Upon arrival we were greeted by a large house with outdoor swimming pool and wondered if we had the right place.....luckily for us, we did. When we parked up we were greeted by Linda who owns the property and this wonderful lady set the tone for the entire stay. Nothing was too much trouble for her, from supplying tea, coffee, lemonade and a tin of biscuits to the Nintendo wii in the living room, it felt homely as soon as we stepped through the door. Linda gave us the tour of the property which started off in the kitchen. It is large enough to cater for a table and four chairs and still give you ample space to move around ( there was 8 us and we still had room) There is also a dishwasher, oven, microwave and tv complete with sky to use whilst in the kitchen.
From there we made our way in to the beautiful living room. This again had the warm homely feel that you just don't get with a hotel/travelodge/holiday inn. Two sofas and two chairs meant everyone can sit down and enjoy the largest tv I have ever watched and as a result look at my own tv in disappointment! As I stated before there is a Nintendo wii to keep you entertained should the weather not be great. As a final bit regarding the living room there is a breathtaking view of the coast from the large dining table situated in the bay window. Finally at the end of the hall way you have a small toilet.
Upstairs the rooms are very large, each with a different theme (my fiancée and I had one with balcony overlooking the coast) plus all rooms again have sky tv. One room has en suite bathroom room but the others share a bathroom just down the hallway. The shared bathroom is a monster in size! It had shower cubicle, jacuzzi bath (complete with led lighting) and enough room to fit a chair and a small army! Whilst nobody used the bath, everyone commented on the shower's power which was highly impressive! Once again, as is the theme throughout, this room is beautifully decorated.
Moving to the outside of the house you have a swimming pool and jacuzzi (additional cost due to cleaning) that we did it use as we were out enjoying the area and a summer house complete with comfortable chairs should you wish to relax outside.

Just down the road from Northcliff manor is the seaside town of Largs. It is a friendly, interesting place that has a bowling alley, pubs, restaurants, Viking museum (that I didn't know about until I got home and I am gutted!) and the worlds best ice cream at Nardinis! Please have a scoop of toffee fudge, you will not regret it. If you want good food and a friendly atmosphere I suggest visiting The Lounge in Largs. I cannot speak highly enough of the food and the service you get in the bar or their restaurant. From Northcliff Manor there is a 10 minute walk through beautiful woodland to a local spar shop should you need any essentials.

My only criticism, which is nothing to do with Northcliff itself, is concerning getting about if you wish to take a taxi. Please please please make sure you to give the taxi service the postcode to the manor. We used two separate firms and on two occasions the drivers couldn't find us and gave up trying.

To sum it up, there is no reason whatsoever to not book Nortcliff Manor for your visit. The photos do not do this place justice and it is far more beautiful than it appears! As we left Linda came out to see us off and as cheesy as it sounds it felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend rather than someone we had rented a property from.

We will be back time and time again!!

“A wonderful stay, perfect for our needs”

A group of 8 of us travelled to a wedding in nearby Largs, and booked Northcliff to stay for 4 nights. Between us all the cost per person worked out around the same as just one night in a B&B and was therefore excellent value for money.

The photos of this property don't do it justice, it really is huge! Each double bedroom (of which there are 4) was of a great size with a unique theme. My husband and I stayed in the ensuite room which was wonderful, the shower was very powerful and spacious, ours will pale into insignificance when we get home!!
The only down side to the showers was that the shower in the main bathroom could not be used at the same time as the ensuite. Not a huge problem but did slow us down slightly in the mornings with 8 trying to shower at once.

The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need...even some sticky tape to wrap up our wedding gift!! We wanted for nothing!

The living room had an enormous tv and enough seating to watch films all together and even all sit around the table together for a meal.

Every bedroom and even the kitchen had a tv in, equipped with either sky or free view. We didn't use them all that much, but would be great if you have kids to keep occupied.

We didn't use the swimming pool or summer house but both looked like excellent additions to the house, the views were amazing and Linda our host was great fun and gave us an in depth tour of the house when we arrived.

Beth who organised our booking was also very friendly and prompt with her correspondence making it a really easy trip to arrange. Thank you all.

Our only tip would be, if you are booking taxis, make sure you give them a postcode to the property. We had 2 taxis struggle to find Northcliff, and one just didn't turn up at all!

Overall though, we had a fantastic time at Northcliff and our group would Definately return in the future.

Our hosts couldn't have been more accommodating, what a fabulous welcome! Really lovely roomy house which suited our family gathering perfectly. The photos of the view don't do it justice! We had the weather too!

I can't recommend it too highly enough!

“Great stay”

We stayed over Hogmanay and had an absolutely brilliant time. Stunning house, great hosts, clean, spacious and had everything we needed. There was 8 adults in our party and the house was most accommodating for that amount of people. Large lounge and dining area for relaxing and hosting a murder mystery dinner party. The bedrooms and bathrooms are huge and the beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The house is close enough to local shops etc if needed but far away enough to feel like you aren't still in the town. Amazing views and 2 minute walk from a beach. A thoroughly relaxing and comfortable holiday and 2 days in agreed that we would most definitely be returning in the summer.
