Some excellent shops including House of Fraser which is lovely if on a Glasgow Christmas shopping trip.
Don't forget to visit Princes Square shopping mall a hidden gem on Buchanan Street. Lots of nice shops, bars and restaurants in a beautifully elegant mall.

Nice street, especially in the summer and at Christmas. Must visit Princes Square. Restaurant Bar and Grill is a good place to eat - not cheap.
Some great street entertainers. Walk to the top of the street and look back down - see the buzz of people on the move.
For a coffee, you can move round to St Vincent's Place and visit the Anchor Line or The Citizen. Weatherspoons pub is next to them for cheaper pub prices. You can also walk through to Queen St and see the Duke of Wellington Statue (with the police cone on the Duke's Head) outside of the GOMA (Museum of Modern Art). George Sq is next to this and the City Chambers is worth a look inside. Lots of Italian marble in the building.

When you come to Glasgow, make sure Buchanan street is one you visit. Great shopping, socialising, buskers of the best outside of an arena & qualuty places to eat & drink.

It's a unique street, with princes square, the Argyl arcade (for diamond & watch shopping second to none? & the Buchanan wave, which you see from the top of Buchanan street, when you look down & see the waves of heads moving up & down the shopping experience that is Buchanan Street Glasgow.
Try the multitude of nooks & crannies to find hidden gems to eat, drink & shop turning off Buchanan Street. Look like dead ends, but they're actually treasure trove if surprise & delight.

It seems one can buy anything in Buchanan Street, reinforcing my opinion that Glasgow is a multi-faceted city with something for everyone to enjoy.
