Took the train from Glasgow to Balloch to visit this fantastic Loch. Easy and pleasant journey which takes about an hour. We walked around the Loch after visiting the information centre to get some advise. Went to Cameron House and looked at the golf course. Would like to come back and play it. Walked around the other side in the afternoon to the castle. Wonderful.

Lovely place with pretty views. Some tourist walkways but not that much to do. The town itself (Balloch ) is fairly decent but uneventful

Beautiful lake with amazing waters. The town of Luss looks fantastic with tourist gift shops. You will probably need transport to the location from Glasgow.

We enjoyed a fabulous one hour cruise from Balloch on the staggeringly beautiful and highly impressive Loch Lomond. Even the short trip up the River Leven is beautiful before you hit the Loch properly. There is some stunning scenery and archtecture to see and the historical commentry onboard ship was interesting and informative.
