We ate here to celebrate a birthday. We were initially disappointed at the length of time we waited for someone to come take our order and then waited a further 40mins for our starter to come. Starter was nice however the flat iron steak for mains was highly disappointing. Waitress told us that a lot of people who haven’t had flat iron before have complained about their steak being too chewy. I told her that actually 4 out of the 6 of us regularly eat flat iron at good Glasgow restaurants and in comparison what they served was very poor. Felt like it was a poor cut not to mention that the sides did not arrive with the main. We then waited again for dessert which initially was quite good until one of our party found what looked like a fish bone in her creme brûlée. The waitress reported this to the chef and we were told it was a piece of plastic not bone. A disappointing experience especially since we’ve been here before and eat regularly in the sister restaurants. Will not be back and most certainly won’t be recommending it unfortunately. Poor service. Average food.

Visited as a family of four, my father required gluten free options, there was a whole separate menu provided for him to choose from. We ordered from the set lunch menu and A la carte, the food was excellent, steak, fish and chicken dishes all superb. Excellent service from friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

I had never heard of the Urban Bar and Brasserie before so had minimal expectations of a 3 course meal for £24.95.

All you Graduands who are thinking “Where do I book to eat a nice meal with my family to celebrate?”
This is the place.

Truly excellent service, wonderful food and very pleasant surroundings.

This has to be one of the best family meals we have enjoyed and so I have no hesitation in recommending this venue.

We had dinner here on Saturday Night. Interior decor is beautiful. On arrival, there was a gentleman singing and playing the piano, which was a lovely addition to the ambience. The bar staff were welcoming and friendly Drinks beautifully presented. The dining area is lovely and spacious. Our Waitress was Harri and she was polite, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was amazing and delicious. Beautifully presented and tasted divine. Great selection of fine wines. It was very busy, including a large private party, but we never felt rushed or ignored. Highly recommend this Restaurant (you can also just pop in to the Bar for a drink or two). All of the staff are fantastic, but Harri deserves a special mention as she was really exceptional in her attention to us. We will definitely be back.
