I love the combination of elements here. It is relaxed, comfortable but the service is first class and the food is innovative and of the highest quality. Perfect for great menu and long conversation.

This restaurant is very beautiful, with gold ceilings and fairy lights. The food is really excellent, and the service unintrusive but attentive. Highly recommended

This restaurant is located in a converted church, with a bar and a theatre (Cottiers) also in the same building.
The food was great, as was the service. Very good value for money.
However, I didn’t like the decor. The gold ceilings were not attractive and the tables were very minimally set. It did not make for a warm or cosy atmosphere, nor did it feel welcoming.

Thank Rsars

After reading the outstanding reviews on here, four of us came for Sunday lunch. The room is beautiful and the Service professional so we were really looking forward to our food and Sunday Roasts.

Not sure if we caught them on an off day, or if the chef was on holiday, but we thought the food was really, really poor. Soup of the Day was Leek and Potato, and it was served unblended style with large pieces of potato sitting in a dark green soup. Bread was nice, but served without any butter, which came on request. We thought the soup was inedible. Totally and massively over salted, and all went back uneaten. Did anyone in the kitchen actually try this before sending it over the pass?

The Roast itself (sirloin) had nice meat and was cooked well, but the Yorkshire Pudding was horrendous. Just a big mound of thick hard dough. The worst Yorkie I've seen come out of a professional kitchen. Roast potatoes were over cooked and hard, and the veg was under cooked, hard and unappealing. A really underwhelming meal. Kids ice cream at the end was soft scoop. The cheapest stuff you can buy in a supermarket.

Our experience was night and day to the stellar reviews on here and regrettably we would not return as a result.
