Owner description: A seasonal farm shop, cafe and play area on a working strawberry farm, just 1 mile south of St Andrews. We are open mid-May to mid-September, 10 am to 6 pm. Serving teas, coffees, home baking, fresh sandwiches and home-made soup. Freshly-picked strawberries from the farm and other local produce and deli items are available for sale. There is ample parking, and a free children's play area, all with spectacular views of St Andrews bay.

Fantastic little farm cafe-shop combination with tasty sandwiches and delicious home baked cakes. It makes a great spot for lunch on a sunny day. It's extremely family friendly with a big play park area for kids and animals to feed.

This time, I had a particularly good brie, wild garlic pesto and rocket baguette with some vegetable soup. The real reason we go though is to demolish the strawberry gateaux and strawberry tarts - can't get better!

The farm sits on a hill with great views over the whole of St Andrews so makes for some good photo opportunities!

I should have listened to the recent review! We were in St Andrews and everywhere for coffee/cake was busy so we decided to venture out to Allanhill. The cakes looked lovely but when I gave the surroundings a quick look over I realised the cafe was very grubby and I just would not have enjoyed eating in these surroundings so we turned around and came out without ordering. Very disappointed as I had read other favourable reviews. Maybe the cleaner is on holiday and we were simply unlucky but it looks as if it has been a long time since the cafe had a deep clean. Won't return ☹️

Popped in to the tearoom for light lunch after seeing signs on main road . First impression was ok and quite a good selection on menu . We ordered soup which was ok and got lovely chunky bread which was delicious. Unfortunately as we were eating a couple of spiders appeared on my shoulder and after looking up the roof and lights were covered in spider webs !! . On further inspection we noticed a lot of wasps inside and outside tearoom and one wasp in the cake display which seemed to be enjoying the strawberry tarts . This apparent lack of hygiene put us off and we decided not to partake in any of the lovely looking cakes so paid our bill and left . Maybe we just got a bad day but tearoom looks as if it needs a good clean !

Lovely tearoom with very friendly staff, farm shop with their own Strawberrys and the view is to die for. Great picnic area and children's play area. You could spend hours here if you have children.
