Owner description: The remains of St Andrews Cathedral, which was Scotland’s largest cathedral and most magnificent church, show how impressive it used to be. The museum houses an outstanding collection of early and later medieval sculptures and other relics found on the site, including the magnificent St Andrews Sarcophagus of Pictish date. The precinct walls are particularly well preserved. St Rule's Tower, in the precinct, is part of the first church of the Augustinian canons at St Andrews built in the early 12th century. There are splendid views from the top. Joint ticket available with St Andrews Castle - Adult £9 Child £5.40 Concession £7

A Historic Scotland site. One of the very best places we saw on the entire vacation (and we saw a lot). You must make this a go to place if you have the chance. You also need to climb the tower, the views are stunning from the top. We were blessed with a great sunny day with a few puffy white clouds for contrast. It was a perfect day for viewing and taking pictures.
Highly recommend this site.

Did this as part of the dual pass with the Castle. It was absolutely lovely and so cool to walk through the ruins. The token to get up the tower is worth it for a stunning view of St Andrews.

Do on a non rain day, great history, beautiful grounds and amazing views. Take a jacket for the wind and good shoes for the hike. Worth the time and grind your camera.

...like a working cathedral , not ruins. Entrance fee extortionate - glad we did not pay - we tried but no obvious place to pay / get tickets .. Just walked around .
