We stayed here for four nights in early October and found it to be all we needed. I only wished we had booked it for a longer stay, but we were doing a driving tour, on our own, of Scoltand and needed to return our car to Edinburgh for our last three days there in the city.
The cottage was just perfect! The bedrooms were both cozy and roomy enough for us, and the sitting room (lounge) comfy. The kitchen had everything one might need for either a short stay, like ours, or a more extended stay. As Americans, we struggled a bit with fining the switches for the heat and the stove, and with using the washer -- but Bill, the owner, popped us to help us, and we eventually figured out the washer on our own!
All in all -- our four days here was just what we wanted and needed. While driving into the countryside, out rural roads, one is never quite certain what you will find when you arrive (despite Trip Advisor reviews and pics), but we were delighted with this lovely cottage -- from the outside garden and the views, to everything inside. Thank you. If we come back to Scotland, we will definitely rebook, although for a longer stay. We loved it!
All things we need were in the Cottage. You can cook there and you can go for a meal to the nearly towns Dundee and St. Andrews. They are just 10 Minutes away with the car. The rooms were clean and nice to stay.
Hamnavoe Cottage on Lucklawhill was a very enjoyable stay and we visited friends nearby. We had a lovely, comfortable stay at the cottage. It is the perfect place to unwind with beautiful views over the bay from the cottage, nice walks on the doorstep and St Andrews a short distance away.
I'm a stickler for cleanliness and good maintenance and this cottage was spotless. The cottage is very well equipped- they have thought of everything! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
The location is amazing with stunning views and some great walks. Nice and quiet but not too far from St Andrews, Lucklawhill station and supermarket. The cottage was spotless on arrival and had every convenience required, a real home from home. Steve was very helpful before and during our stay and we are hoping to go back again next year.
Really nice cottage in Balmullo 15 mins from St andrews. Quiet rural setting and everything you could need inside the cottage. Lovely to have wine, milk and bread on arrival. Great service. Thanks Steven.
