Had an amazing time, fantastic house and host. Having bikes and go-karts etc available at all times for the children to play on is a brilliant idea.
Looking forward to visiting again.

“Luxury Family Base”
Reviewed 10 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We stayed here in the lead up to a friend's wedding and I can't recommend it enough. We have a two year old and a one year old, so a spacious self-catering apartment with enough bedrooms and safe surrounding space is a must. We booked on the recommendation of the wedding party without much research and were pleasantly surprised. Netta the owner is exceptionally helpful both when booking and when we were arrived, checking everything was ok and whether we required any extra equipment (high chairs etc.) We were wowed with the space and the beautiful views which surround the holiday cottage. Ahead of arriving we found it tricky to visualise exactly where The Stables was situated in relation to the other cottages; it is nicely tucked away on the end, so front door is not in main courtyard (but there is easy access via a passageway) and three sides of the cottage have the wonderful views.

The cottage itself is fully equipped with all the necessary pots and pans, also a good washing machine and tumble drier then necessary airers and washing lines. Everything is well thought out. The fixtures and fittings are of a high standard with a lovely shower in the master bedroom and spa bath in the family bathroom. Master bedroom has a dressing room and comfortable bed. There is good Wi-Fi, three televisions the main of which is huge, a log burning stove and bundles of space. My 1 year old who has just learnt to walk loved toddling the length of the landing or living room through to the beautiful conservatory dining room. The kitchen diner opens out onto a grass back garden with picnic table, but this extends as far as the eye can see into open fields, so you feel a world away and with such lovely countryside. There is also a playground on site which the children appreciated. The whole site feels very safe and we were reassured that the owner also stays on site when it is occupied so always there if you need her.

In terms of the location etc. we were impressed at how it felt very remote but was just minutes away from the road and then quick access to lots of sites. Whilst there we visited the Kelpies which have a fantastic playground and café (just 10 mins away), Blair Drummond Safari Park (about 40 mins away), Loch Lomand - hire the bikes! (about 1 hour away), Stirling Castle and King's Park (about 30 mins away) and finally Burntisland beach which is a real find if you have small children and good weather. Beach is about 20 mins away, £1.50 car parking for the day, lovely uncrowded sandy beach, café, playground, toilets, showers and if you have older children the start of a fantastic coastal path walk.
We didn't make it to the Falkirk Wheel but that is also near by.

We found it easy to stop off at local supermarkets as and when we passed them, there is a Tesco and Morrisons near by, then an Asda and Morrisons in Falkirk. I know both Tesco and Morrisons deliver to the site so if you're really organised you could arrange that for the day you arrive.

We thought this was an excellent base for holidaying in this part of Scotland and real luxury accommodation. Wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely recommend. If there was anything at all that could make this better then I'd say the addition of an outdoor hot tub would be very welcome!

“5 Star accommodation and facilities”
Reviewed 30 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

This is a fantastic base to stay for exploring Central Scotland.
The facilities in the Lodge are excellent.
There is plenty of space to unwind and relax after a day exploring.
Great facilities for families, our girls loved the on site play park.
This really is 5star accommodation, we are lucky enough to have stayed at numerous good quality self catering accommodation both home and abroad and Grangeview is by far the highest. You won't be disappointed.
Everything was spotless and of good quality.
