Myself and my girlfriend do a lot of long distance walking . This is only 117 miles and we backpacker it in 8 days . Very easy. I wore boots my girlfriend wore sandals without any regrets . The views are fantastic . The last day into Newburgh is a bit disappointing though.

Thank Ron S

We went ther for an afternoon walk. The Coastal Footpath is very good to walk and the Beach with it's Sand is awesome.

This is a very nice Spot. Sadly we did not have very good Weather when we were there. It was starting to Rain, when we walked already for a while and we could not back to our Car fast enough.

But the Fife Coastal Path at Newbourgh is one of the greatest Spots in Scotland.

What a lovely walk taking in churches, castle ruins , ruins of salt factories and the beautiful Pittenweem. A walk of just over 2 hours and just over 8 miles. Suitable for all ages and a few playgrounds for kids on the way. Places for coffee and food in villages
along route. Make sure you follow coastal path when leaving Anstruther or you can end up on main road was at from path.

Just a warning to walkers that Fife Coastal Path has become badly eroded by tidal waters in the winter of 2018, January to March. This is particularly bad in areas between Dysart to East Wemyss. It is no longer the easy walk it once was and a bit of scrabbling between stony beach and poor walking paths will be required. This area is unlikely to be repaired in the near future as the damage is substantial.
