What a night only 24 hours here and regretted every minute.

Got stuck in elevator couldn’t get through to anyone only saving grace was we had limited phone signal and finally after 15 minuted managed to get through to someone who came and helped, although didn’t care if we were ok seemed more distraught we had asked for his help.

Showers were a hot cold mess. Through no prompting the temperature regularly changed. From too hot to too cold.

Rooms were nice enough however for a 4star hotel I feel it was overpriced when compared to other facilities in similar rated establishements.

Would not be surprised to see the rating drop to 2/3 stars in the near future.

Meal was way overpriced however food was nice, staff in restaraunt were friendly enough.

There was a bed and there was breakfast...the same things you can get at any travelodge (plus the showers at the travelodge will not burn and then freeze you)

Major improvements needed!

Thank you for your feedback and your review following your recent stay at the Grange Manor. I am sorry to learn of your dissatisfaction, and especially the fact that you were stuck in our lift. I can assure you that the team would have had your safety and well being at top priority, and most certainly would not have been bothered about the situation.

We have only recently had our inspection from the AA, and got a great report back from them, our prices are in keeping and in a lot of circumstances cheaper than other 4 star properties in the area.

I will certainly be looking at the problem you have mentioned about the shower. Thank you again for your feedback.

Stayed just for one night while visiting some tourist attractions in the area. Got a deal through Wowcher which was great value for money. One nights dinner bed and breakfast. Big room, nice big bathroom. Maybe a little dated but everything was clean and beds were comfy. Dinner was in a separate annex and got two courses and a glass of wine. breakfast in the morning was cooked to order and a selection of fruits and cereals. All you could want. Plenty parking and would be a great place to stay if heading to either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Lovely hotel , great meal in Cook’s Restaurant but no sleep due to rowdy guests at hotel . After three complaints to Hotel, noise stopped at approximately 2.30am -Have complained twice to hotel management but not even a response ! Husband got verbally abused by other guests as had to deal with situation himself as hotel didn’t and following the abuse there was an attempt by someone to get in our room which was very frightening . Would not recommend .

Thank you for your review following your visit to the Grange Manor. I am sorry to read that you encountered these problems, but the staff were trying to calm the whole situation down. I can assure you that the safety of our guests is of paramount importance to us, and I can only assume that it was a case of someone trying to get into the wrong room as opposed to getting into your room. If you would like to discuss this further please contact myself on 01324 474836 or email gm@grangemanor.co.uk and I will be happy to discuss this further with you.

Visited here for a savoury afternoon tea. Great haggis bon bons but rather disappointing dry and lacking in meat sausage rolls. Nice fresh sandwiches but also a bit light on filling, tho tasty enough. The bread was perfectly fine and not the cheap quality another reviewer complained about. Scones and cakes were fine too and I am assuming home made. There was also the daily special cake on request. Plenty tea and coffee on offer too. Overall very good because of the 2 for 1 deal during the week. Female staff member very welcoming.

So disappointed with this Afternoon Tea. I was taken out for a birthday treat - well that was the idea. To keep it short everything was pretty second rate. Poor sandwiches - probably cheap white bread - and fillings were very mediocre. Strawberry tarts were obviously bought in and pretty synthetic, meringues weren't bad but choux pastries were very soggy. Such a disappointment. Won't be back. Not surprised they are offering such deals!

Thank you for your review following your visit for afternoon tea. I am sorry to read that you found the sandwiches poor, but all of our cakes including the strawberry tarts are homemade. We constantly receive great praise regarding our afternoon teas, and the quality which we serve. I am sorry that this was not to your liking.
