We'd seen the kelpies from the road but had never stopped and visited them before. This is a superb attraction - the Kelpies themselves are huge and are striking from a distance and fascinating when you stand beside them. The Forth and Clyde Canal has been extended to this site and there are boats moored which help make it a very attractive place for visitors. There is also a cafe on site and all in all you can easily spend a few hours wandering around this lovely place. Well done Falkirk Council for creating something unique.

We visited the Kelpies as in Falkirk, not to be missed, horses were fantastic sculptures, had a walk round canal you get different look of them from behind, the only criticism is the price of the car park

The Kelpies rise up majestically into the sky. Do not go to Falkirk without taking a trip to Helix Park in order to view them for yourself. They are huge and magnificent. Not to be missed!

The Kelpies are HUGE, stainless steel horsehead sculptures located along a canal near Edinburgh. The Kelpies are mythological white horses, that when you touch them, they will drag you into the water where they transform into a sea monster and eat your soul! This sculpture is in recognition of the horses that pulled the barges along the canals. It's awesome just to stand beside them and look up at the details of the eyes and noses. Plan to spend an hour there as you view the horses and the canal with barges. There is a gift shop, restrooms and food service available.
