This is a really lovely apartment. Spacious, stylish, high quality in every way. Ideally located for local shops, nice cafes and eateries, and for buses/taxis or walk into town (which is only 10 minutes on foot). Towels aplenty, very nice bedding on all 3 large beds, well stocked kitchenware and great wi fi/printer and smart tv. Book it!
Flat was clean and was very comfortable, the location was great to explore Edinburgh and 6 adults easily had enough space to enjoy relaxing in flat after long day sight seeing
We enjoyed every bit of our time at St Bernard’s Crescent. The Crescent itself is beautiful and in such close proximity to Stockbridge with all the shops and eateries you could want. It’s a very short walk in and out of the centre of Edinburgh too. The flat itself is spacious and perfectly equipped with everything we could have wanted. The main bedroom has a huge and fantastically comfortable bed and there is lots of space in the kitchen/living room. Everything was clean and seemed very new. The only problem we had was making ourselves leave to make the most of Edinburgh!
We absolutely loved our 8 days at 17 St. Bernard’s Crescent. It was easily the best accommodation we found in Scotland. Arriving on Boxing Day, we were meet quickly by Nicola who told us all about the place. She had provided all of the essentials-milk, eggs, tea, coffee, sugar—and gave us clear written/verbal instructions and suggestion. The flat is stunning, on the top floor, with a perfect view of a park (With tea in hand, I began most of my mornings with the two front windows open gazing at the incredible view).
Everything in the apartment is first rate—the beds (so comfy and warm), the blankets, the kitchen, the shower, and the furniture. After long days exploring the amazing city and partaking in the Hogmanay celebrations (a once in a lifetime experience), we returned to a place that felt like home. Our kids watched Netflix and our son played Mariocart on the Wi.
Finally, the area of Stockbridge is amazing. It feels like a world away from the buzz of the tourist center. It is about 15 minutes to the Royal Mile (uphill half of the way), but every time we crossed over Queen Street and headed back to St. Bernard’s Crescent, it felt like walking to a quiet, quaint village. Stockbridge has so much charm and flair with lots of great pubs and shops. However, it is beautifully quiet and serene at night.
Simply put, we loved our stay at St. Bernard’s Crescent. It was perfect. Thank you Nicola.
Beautifully maintained 2nd floor apartment in the Stockbridge area approx 15 mins walk into the city, or take the bus. We walked most days (uphill going but downhill at the end of your day!) Stockbridge itself is full of interesting shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants. The Festival is brilliant as is the Tattoo. The apartment has all you need and is 5*. It was good to meet Nicola on arrival. We would re book if visiting Edinburgh again.
