We went to see Paddington on the 2/12/17 for the 1245 screening. as it was our first time using vouchers we were unsure how we could use them but the stewards explained where to go, and the person at the desk was so helpful. Its a great place to chill out on a cold day, and the sound effects were great. It was quite for our screening but noticed on leaving how busy it had become.

We arrived at 7pm to find the ticket desk closed and that we had to book from the refreshment counter. Here, there was one active till and seven closed ones. The first person we saw reach the desk took a while to peruse the menu before ordering hot dogs, which the sole server had to cook alongside drinks and tickets. To be fair, extra staff were eventually summoned, though the one who served us had trouble with the till. The Gents toilets were out of action when we finally got in. A plus was the patience and good humour of the staff under pressure and the fact that the seats were comfortable and the view of the screen was good. It seemed expensive, but perhaps we are spoiled by our local independent cinema having a one price policy of £4 for all people on every screening.

Rather expensive, especially for this type of cinema.
Tired seats which needed a coat to pad out the hollow.
Very, very loud volume of sound track that hurt one's ears and badly distorted the film's speech so much of this was unintelligible.
It ruined a good film and we left hugely disappointed.
