This is a fantastic thing to see and a must for anyone interested in the history of Scotland. I have been 3 times and still follow the story told through the hundreds of tapestries , a brilliant thing to see and visit, don't miss it!

What an accomplishment! This is a wonderful way to learn about Scottish history. It's a marvel of cooperation and skill. So lovely to look at.

If you either love needlework and/or love learning about Scottish history, this is the perfect place to do so. The brainchild of one man, Alexander McCall Smith, this 160 panel embroidery (not tapestry) was designed by one male artist and sewn by 1000 women. No comment. It is a cinch to access because it's currently being shown in the Kirkcaldy Art Gallery right next to the Kirkcaldy train station, and it's free. If possible go on a weekday to avoid a crowd, but even with a crowd it's a must-see.

Scotland can be very proud of the Great Scottish Tapestry ! We have visited several venues for it , but my favourite is at the Scottish Parliament building. Well done to all the dedicated volunteer stitchers of the tapestry, and to the volunteer stewards, conservators and all others who help to keep the tapestry in first class condition.

This was excellent very well stitched in corona logical order of the history of Scotland each piece was of a Pacific time in history numbered so you can start from number 1 to the end this will take you some time to get round them all I suggest you have a coffee in the middle and take you time on each piece.
enjoy
