What's cool about this palace is that it's still operating. Despite that, there was plenty to see and the audio tour was fantastic. It was a cold, rainy day so the stop at the tea house before we left for a tea and scone (a must) was a great finish to our visit. The palace is definitely a good spend of time.

We were daunted by the long lines waiting to get in, but enjoyed walking the entire perimeter of the Palace (which you can do without paying entry fee) and enjoyed the interpretive center as well.

Beautiful Palace. We were unable to tour as the Palace was being used by The Royal Family. However, we were told that you actually see around 12 rooms in the palace currently in use.

What fun, what an education! This was a lovely self guided tour of the Palace, where the Queen and her family reside while in Scotland. My teens and I enjoyed the tour, loved that we got to pet a 'palace cat' that was sunning outside the Palace. Lovely tea in the cafe before leaving the grounds.

Interesting connections not only to the modern day royal family, but also going back to Mary, Queen of Scots, and her son and other descendants. The audio guide was very helpful, and while it was slightly long at some parts, it covered everything very well.
