Very good location away from the hustle of Edinburgh but close enough for good walks to town. Even though the room was quite small, it did have a view of the garden which was welcome. I requested three down pillows upon checkin so that helped me deal with the small bed. However, the plumbing could be improved as it is quite disturbing to have to jump around in the shower when the hot water changes to cold when someone in another room turns on the water.
The small desk in the room was primarily occupied by the coffee and tea service
Staff (particularly Alec in the bar) were quite good. And the 24 hour bar for coffee, gin or breakfast was welcoming.More
