We stayed at the Radisson Collection Hotel and my wife had a meeting in University of Edinburgh, which is a short walking distance. All the attractions were fantastic and short distance from the hotel. The Castle, Giles Cathedral, National Library, National Gallery, National Museum, you name it, they were all within walking distance and great. The Elephant House where J.K. Rowling allegedly wrote Harry Potter is also right there. Food choices are fabulous!

We enjoyed ambling through the streets, there's lots to see and plenty of places to stop for a bite. It's easy to do without having a plan. I must say however, June makes it very very crowded!

Lovely to walk around old town. Full of restaurants and bars and cafes. Cobbled streets and hilly. Lovely colourful building and steeped in history. Victoria street has lots of Harry Potter style shops. Some fab places to eat and drink and so many places to take photos of.

I prefer this area to the Royal mile. There are cool little independent shops with unique items and window displays.

My fav thing about this area is the pubs, far apart but lots of gems minus the silly price tag of more affluent areas.

Enjoy
