Visited here on Saturday whilst working with Lightning seeds, we was all in high spirits after the England game. The staff are excellent and very inviting. The food was incredible with all of us complementing on it. I had the fishcakes with roasted potatoes in garlic butter, both amazing and so tasty. We all left extremely happy and ready for the evening festival.

My husband and I stumbled across this restaurant six years ago and were anxious to return when we came back to Edinburgh with his children and mother. We arrived after adventuring all day so not quite appropriately dressed for the restaurant but we were greeted and seated with a nice welcome.

We started with 18 oysters and they were delicious. We then had a variety of entrees, including the seafood platter, seafood linguine, mussels, and scallops. All were very good. And the desserts were lovely.

We’ll be back!

Terrible. Met friends for a couple of drinks here tonight. Barman spilled beer over us when he lost balance of the tray, not even an apology from the manager, who seemed more concerned with whether his table was unstable. He actually asked us to settle our bill and we felt that he wanted us to leave immediately although we had done nothing wrong. Wouldn't recommend this place and won't be back, plenty other places close by serving drinks and excellent food that treat customers better.

I was lucky enough to get a table when dropped in - but I highly recommend you book or call first... they were very busy... always a good sign.
The atmosphere is just lovely and the food and service are top notch.
I spoiled myself and had the Isle of Skye langoustine... OMG... these were so good. Simply cooked with a to-die-for garlic butter sauce. Bring able to buy French champagne by the glass to wash them down with was a total bonus.
Too many positives to list - I would highly recommend this restaurant.
