What a brilliant place for a monument to such a great man, the views are phenomenal! Edinburgh has certainly done its legends justice!

I think the reason for this monument being in Edinburgh, (see an earlier review), is because Rabbie burns spent a lot of his time in Edinburgh especially in the grass market hostelries, this monument is set in a very scenic part of the city.

This tribute to Robert Burns is one of many around the world and clearly this one is very significant. Worth a stop by.

I think it could be very beautiful if the weather is good and if there is no building site up there. But it is THE picture of Edinburgh so maybe you should see for yourself if it is worth a look.

We came across this monument unexpectedly while walking along Regent Terrace.Though it is a fitting monument it is a bit out of the way and stands on it's own and you would need to search it out if you really wanted to see it.
There is a nice park not too far away
