this property was a lot like coming home. Everything you needed. Close to the main street but not noisy. Good pubs and shops in town. Just watch the landing at the top of the steep stairs as it isn't as wide as the doors out of the upstairs bedrooms.

“Excellent value, superb, cosy cottage”

Lazy Days cottage is very cosy, extremely clean and in an ideal location to all of the amenities Moffat has to offer. We parked the car up on Friday night and didn't use it again until Monday morning. The cottage is very spacious downstairs, the living room is a lovely size and it has a very homely feel to it. The kitchen/dining room is also spacious and is very well equipped. The upstairs of the cottage has 2 good size bedrooms, which are decorated beautifully (I fell in love with the wallpaper) and again have a lovely homely feel.

I booked the cottage for a 3 night break for our first wedding anniversary as we love Moffat for its quaint, friendly atmosphere and it's close to fly fishing venues (which we love to do).

The cottage is situated off the main street which has many restaurants, pubs, take ways and small, privately owned town shops. There is quite a large Co-op 5 mins walk away, which we used when we first arrived. It's open until 10pm, 7 days a week which is fantastic if you need something quickly.

There is a lovely park, riverside walks and family fishing lakes nearby (The Green Frog) which is also a garden center, gift shop and coffee shop. Moffat Mill is near the Co-op, 5 min walk, which sells anything and everything.

All in all I would definitely book the cottage again and I would certainly recommend it to others, although the stairs are steep and the landing area is extremely narrow. We had to leave the stair light on at night so that we would remember to keep to the left when walking from the bedroom to bathroom. It is a cottage so it was expected!

“Lovely break with the family”

We all had a lovely time in this little gem of a cottage, we received a warm welcome from (Agnes) the lady who looks after the cottage. The cottage was very clean, warm and cosy.
Moffat is a wonderful place to visit, and has some lovely walks there are also lots of eating places anything from fish and chips to cream tea or five course dinners the choice is endless.
It is the perfect place to get away from it all.

“Holiday with husband and friends.”

Cosy little cottage in the heart of Moffat.
Ideally situated for all amenities - plenty of choice for places to eat.
The cottage has a sitting room and open plan kitchen/diner downstairs. Very pleasant, comfortable and well equipped. There is a big walk-in storage cupboard, ideal for wet coats etc.
Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and a small bathroom. The bedrooms are in sloped eaves of roof, so beware and be prepared for a few bumped heads. However beautifully set out. ( I particularly liked the small water jug and glasses provided in each room; and the small torches dotted about). Bathroom clean and bright.
However, on a down side, the stairs are very narrow and steep and the 'landing' so small felt a little precarious. Having a physical disability I did struggle here and approached with extreme caution. This is something I should have really checked out, but having read lots of reviews it hadn't been mentioned. It is for this reason I have marked a four rather than five.
Outside is very basic, front leads straight onto the street and the rear is a small square, which is partly used for the local hotel's car park. However it is surprisingly quiet and pleasant.
So all in all, a cosy old place to lay your head at the end of a tiring day exploring.

Lazy Days is a lovely traditional cottage in a side street off Moffat's High Street It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a lovely lady (Agnes) who looks after the cottage who went out of her way to accommodate our extra needs. It has a very efficient heating system and well equipped kitchen plus beautifully decorated attic bedrooms..There are lovely walks close by along the river, shops are all within walking distance and it is also only 5 minutes from the motorway. There isn't really anything at all we could complain about and will use the cottage again on our travels from the south back home to Lewis.
