“warm, clean, and comfortable place to stay”
Reviewed 13 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

I decided to book a stay at the Yarrowford schoolhouse flat whilst visiting family in the Selkirk area; we stayed for four nights in total.

The accommodation is very nice, its clean, comfortable and just what we needed especially on the first night as when we arrived it was raining heavily and we had travelled over 8 hours.

I'd certainly recommend a stay at Yarrowford; the owners are especially welcoming and kindly left a few supplies for breakfast.

Book a stay you wont be disappointed, we're hopefully coming back next year in the summer with the intention of staying for two weeks this time

Many thanks

“Superb stay!!”
Reviewed 26 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Very warm welcome from James and Vivienne, Thanks for the groceries, and of course for the very tasteful "Selkirk Bannock". This morning I tasted it with the real Scottish butter, it was delicious!! Our holiday in Scotland was very pleasant as the cottage is very well equiped and comfortable, especiallly the bed, which was large enough for my husband (6ft11in). The weather was perfect for our several tours and our Dandie Racing on The Haining. We certaintly will come back.

Liked best: The large and comfy bed
Liked least: One tiny shower cabine, as we are big people from the Netherlands

“Warm and welcoming/great tranquil location”
Reviewed 31 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The walk down the lavender path on arrival calmed our senses ready for relaxing on our holiday. Our hostess Vivienne greeted us with a welcoming smile, showed us around and then left us with the best welcome tray we have ever had; homemade scones, butter, milk, tea, coffee and eggs! The wifi pleased our teenage son and the bed settee was very large and comfortable. Having ensuites leading from both bedrooms was a boon, especially with an elderly father. The owners being on site gave us comfort in knowing they were there in case we had any queries. Clean and well decorated throughout, lovely furniture and great kitchen. Teenage son, if he had the chance, would have requested a larger tv! We left something behind and Vivienne kindly posted it back to us. Wish we had stayed there longer and we will definitely use it as our base for visiting the Borders again. Brilliant place.

“Short break in the Borders”
Reviewed 12 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

This self-catering flat is suitable for 2 - 4 people and is clean and tidy. We were warmly greeted on arrival and the owners had left us with scones, eggs, milk and butter which was a welcoming touch.
This is a very peaceful location, and to explore the Borders region you would need a car, motorbike or bicycles for getting around. The flat is situated near the Southern Upland Way and there are lots of good shorter walks in the vicinity.

“Brilliant Accommodation”
Reviewed 3 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

I stayed here for a short weekend break in November. I left late on Friday evening and found the hosts to be very accommodating with my late arrival. On arrival, I actually drove past the house but was guided back in off the road to the correct place.

The flat is exceptionally well set up. It is very tastefully decorated, with a well equipped kitchen, huge beds, en suite facilities and ample parking. It was the perfect place to return to after a hard day on the hill.

Excellent communication before my arrival to confirm details by the hosts.

I hope to return soon.
