Like many National Trust for Scotland gardens, cut backs especially in staffing are all too evident. The attention to detail when a garden has enough gardeners sadly is not there any more. There was plenty colour and interesting plants when we visited in May and the orchard with all the apples trees was lovely to wander through. No flower shop though despite the title! Plus point is the garden is free so it is nice to pop in and have a look around when you are visiting Melrose.

Visited this garden on a lovely sunny day. The National Trust must be ashamed on of it. Do not bother to visit unless you are interested in the great week collection. We are NTS members and it is the poorest location we have ever visited.

We popped into the garden, and it is a lovely place to have a sit down. Really beautiful flowers and no entrace fee.

The Priorwood Garden is a beautiful garden located in the idyllic town of Melrose in the Lowlands of Scotland. The garden is free to enter and is adjacent to a pay bathroom. This garden is very close to Melrose Abbey and is a great spot to enjoy the beauty of Melrose. Jolly Chriss.

This is a delightful small garden with seating which was useful on our visit as it was very warm. Excellent range of plants which could be dried and lovely old apply trees.
