Looked at quite a few menus on the high street before finding this little gem. They allowed us to take our dog inside as it was so hot outside. Even got him some water.
High chair was available for our daughter.
Ordered large cod and chips and small haddock and chips with curry sauce. Biggest bit of cod we’ve ever had. Fish was so tasty and moist. Obviously very fresh!
Chips were tasty, not greasy at all. Excellent value, all came to under £20 including 2 drinks. Our 1 year old loved the food too

Best haddock we’ve tasted in 30 years !!!!!
Super friendly staff, and able to cope with our large order for 15 people including 1 person with allergies

This is the real deal. Three generations of fish n chips men holding it down in Oban. Fried in lard- not that nasty, unhealthy vegetable oil that the newer place in town uses. You can taste the difference- clean, crispy batter on fresh local haddock with no oxidized funky oily aftertaste. Cheap and yummy.

After 50 years I have found the best fried fish at a Fish & Chips shop. The cod was fresh and moist, the batter was light and crisp. The chips were very good as well. Haddock was almost as good. Too bad they had no pineapple for fritters. The " three generations of frying excellence " claim is true.

Sorry but really disappointed at the chips which were very dry and kinda powdery. Bit disappointing.
