We stayed just 3 days at the farm but would have been very comfortable for a week or more. This place is rural and beautiful- a bit of a drive if you are planning to eat out or sightsee but absolutely perfect for rest and relaxation. Lots of extra nice touches made our stay very enjoyable. Watching the sheep and lambs and the ocean from the bedroom was wonderful!
Farmhouse is well-equipped - everything you need and more. Stunning Location, views from house are breathtakingly beautiful - the Ayrshire coast, Ailsa Craig, Sanda and Sheep Islands and even to Ireland. Secluded beach 5 mins walk away, Campbeltown is 10mins drive from Pennyseorach. Owners Terry & Linda are the PERFECT hosts. This was our 4th holiday here, and defo not our last.
We had a lovely week staying in the house. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable and our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We saw otters, dolphins, seals, hares and a range of interesting birds. Will definitely be returning!!
The farmhouse is short walk/drive to the beach, very well equipped kitchen,10/15 minute drive into Campbeltown, Lynda and Terry are very welcoming,it was lambing season when we were there, got to hold and pet 3 day old lamb, very, very much appreciated, the views totally took my breath away, absolutely beautiful, stunning, everyone should visit here at least once in their life, you will not be disappointed. Will definitely be booking again.
A wonderful cottage on the coast overlooking the island of Sanda. Stunning views in a stunning location.
A very homely cottage retaining all its character with deceptively large rooms, and like one of the comments in the visitors book, hopefully will not be modernised and lose its charm. (well, within reason of course).
Our family (6 adults, two children and three dogs) had a great, relaxing time. So much so that we have already discussed our next visit!
The owners were friendly and welcoming, and gave us some great tips for the area.
Our one tip to fellow guests would be to visit the tea room in the village. Amazing! Very busy though, so you actually have to book for lunch to ensure a table. Fantastic value for money and wait till you see the cakes!!!
As far as the cottage is concerned would defiantly recommend, and can't wait to go back.
