“Comfortable dog friendly challet type accommidation.”
Reviewed 4 July 2018 for a stay in June 2018

Spent a week in Pine Tree Cottage, Cruden Bay. A lovely warm welcome from Alan, who showed me around the cottage. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable and dog friendly. Although I knew the area, the cottage is 5 minutes from a lovely sandy beach and a walk to Slains Castle took around 30 minutes. I would definitely go back.

The Kitchen unit has been extended since this visit and some furnishing changed ; we are quality tested by the Scottish Tourist Board every year and are 2 star rated in their Quality requirements as advertised on our listing .A somewhat unfair review in context of previous reviews just prior to their visit . I agree that 2/3 adults or couple with 2 children are the optimum for comfort in the small cottage .

“Great self-catering accommodation in centre of Cruden Bay”
Reviewed 17 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We had 5 days in Cruden Bay visiting relatives and stayed at PineTree Cottage. We found the cottage to be spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. Kitchen ideal and WC downstairs with shower. A double bed and a single bed upstairs - very comfortable with good quilts and pillows. Downstairs bed settee not very big so cottage ideally suited for 3/4 people. Television, washing machine, Hoover iron etc all provided but could do with some added essentials like soap, toilet roll and washing up liquid as we did not bring our own. Some towels provided. Owner very helpful when we had to request bed linen for bed settee.
Beautiful beach a stone's throw away and walking distance to Golf Club, Slains Castle, shops, pub and hotel. Lovely lunch at Kilmarnock Arms.

“Pine Tree Cottage Cruden Bay - Self Catering”
Reviewed 11 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Again, made most welcome by Alan and Thelma for our holiday in Cruden Bay at Pine Tree Cottage. The accommodation is both warm and comfortable and centrally located in the village - very handy for getting to all the shops and other amenities, which include the nearby local hotel, only a short walk away, so no need to take the car if venturing out for a meal or drink. We look forward to returning to the Bay again next year and staying at Pine Tree Cottage.

Comfortable, very clean compact homely property in the heart of the village, very handy for the local amenities - shops, post office, hotels, garage/filling station; outdoor activities - golf, tennis, bowls, sea fishing and a magnificent sandy beach and other places where you can stretch your legs or relax beside the sea; only a short drive into Peterhead or slightly further to Aberdeen.
Alan and Thelma made us most welcome and ensured that we had everything we required for our holiday in Cruden Bay. We look forward to returning to Pine Tree Cottage again next year.
