Although not spacious, the apartment had everything we required. The late 20th Century décor tending toward grey, white and aqua made both the bedroom and the living/dining/room/kitchen and the two tall front windows seem larger than they were. The refrigerator was deep for an under-the-counter job, and the bathroom was big enough that we could raise both arms t the same time in the shower. The location couldn’t have been better – two blocks uphill from the quayside shopping complex, with a large and well-stocked Tesco supermarket and a multiplex cinema. The city walls were just a few blocks further. There was free parking on the street in this block, and because this was a Sunday, we found a parking space right at the front door.
