Cottage in very peaceful, friendly village, surrounded by lovely countryside. Accommodated four adults adequately. Main bedroom spacious but second bedroom better suited for children. Easy to access (by car) shops in Armagh and ferry port at Dublin. The welcome pack was great - thanks Sarah
The cottage is out in the country about 15 mins drive from Armagh city. It is just as is in the pictures, Nothing misleading about the advert. It is in a very quiet place in the countryside which is just what I was looking for. Sarah who met us was very nice and helpful and showed us everything. The cottage has everything you need to cook and clean and be comfortable. It is by far the cleanest rental of this type I have booked and there is an abundance of towels and such. The house heats up very quickly which is great as it is wet and cold outside now.
My girlfriend and I used Abbey View Cottage for a quiet overnight stay during the Easter break in 2015. It was perfect for what we were looking for as the village of Tynan is very small and secluded so the quietness was brilliant! It's a very short drive to Armagh which has stuff to do if you want to! We went down early on the Wednesday because we wanted to make the day of it and the owner Sarah was very accommodating and said we could arrive any time from 11 onwards. She also allowed us to bring our small dog with us and the back garden was enough for the size of the dog, she even had a small dog bowl for us to use! (Although we brought our own it was a nice touch) When we met Sarah at the cottage she was very friendly, showed us what we needed to know and then let us get on with it which was great! The cottage itself was nice and clean and perfect for what we wanted. It had everything we needed and lots of little extras that had been left to make our stay more comfortable (tea, coffee, milk, bread etc), I could fault very little about our stay at the cottage! If I had to be very fussy I would say the pillows were very soft (I prefer more firm but not everybody is like me) and the cottage should get WiFi! Other than that, completely perfect, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back!!
Sarah welcomed us to the cottage and showed us around. The welcome pack enabled us to make a much needed cup of tea after our long journey. The cottage was clean, comfortable and quiet. We found a lot to do in the local area and much more further afield. We found Navan fort, which was very close, very interesting and well worth the visit. We will defiantly return for another visit.
