The ferry was on time and ran as advertised..The boat had options on deck and below if weather was bad. The isla d is worth the trip.

Rathlin Island is a great place to visit, mainly to see the seabird colonies but also great scenery and a bit of history. There is a cafe, a restaurant, a bar and a couple of shops in the harbour on the island.
The puffin buses are on their last legs, they are nothing to do with the ferry company , but fine for the 4 mile journey to the RSPB centre, £5 on the bus, £5 entry , free entry to RSPB members.
The fast ferry is great (25m), it is passenger only, the slow ferry (45m) takes vehicles, but only for residents or people with accommodation booked.

It's refreshing to get a ferry over water while being on holidays. It has the best views of the Rathlin island. Cliffs and the green hills of Ireland.

New upgraded ferry is a big improvement on the previous one where all seating was on deck and exposed to the elements! New Ferry has internal as well as external seating and docks in the new harbour at Rathlin. There is plenty of room for bike storage, so no problem bringing your bike at a cost of £3.30.

We have visited Rathlin Island twice previously but it's about 8 years ago. We noticed they now offer a faster trip over the traditional ferry which is also in operation.

Great to have the fadyer option but both do the job.
