This place was recommended to us by several people before our trip to Belfast. It is a famous pub and really beautifully preserved and a very interesting experience to visit and have a drink there. After a drink we went for a meal in the chophouse upstairs and we were not disappointed. I loved the way the restaurant had been decorated - very atmospheric but not at all tacky. They have a good traditional menu and there were so many dishes I would have liked to try - we had mains and dessert and they were delicious. Fantastic and unusual gin menu too. The waiting staff were great despite being very busy (I think they were short staffed and so it was a little slow but they managed to keep us happy despite that). I would definitely go back and recommend others to go.

This is a must to visit and enjoy the belfast craic. The people are amazing with a great place with the old fashioned booths. Plenty choice of drinks.

This place is described on the Internet as having 'carved-mahogany booths, etched-glass, plus gas lamps that feature in an 1820's pub, famed for its decor' - and that's exactly as I found it. Been calling in sporadically over the years and I've always found it to be a wonderful place for a pint and a chat. You can't go wrong visiting this place!

This is one of "Crown Jewels" when in Belfast! It is absolutely amazing the hole place and the food (they are the experts in sausages) are really tasty! Have dinner ate the top floor and then have a pint at the bar, down stairs!
