This is a super man-made park offering routes for walkers and runners. There are two "ring routes", carefully augmented with distance markers. The inner route has an array of outdoor gym equipment, ideal if you want to add some exercise to your run or walk. Car parking is available if needed.

Great place to feed to ducks, swans, herons and pigoens. Great play park too with lots for littles and bigs as well as a bike track, basketball court and really nice walk. Links to the connswater greenway which takes you to east side visitor centre and c.s Lewis square so great for bike adventures or travel by car. Funny place to get to and could do with more directional signage.

great walking space for family or just to clear your head. Nice relaxed environment, MUGA for kids and a small cycle track to spend some time with family. Outdoor gym equipment too which could suit causal outdoors active types. Nice and tidy!

Went for a family walk through the park. Very impressed with the lack of litter and well maintained paths. The water was frozen still in places. Will come back again in the warmer weather.

Victoria Park has lovely landscaping, a circuit of the park, for those walkers and runners is exactly 1 mile, great for counting those miles. The park also has numerous Football Fields, a good children’s playground , seating all the way around the park for those of us that can’t make a mile without needing a seat. It also has a recently added new bridge which takes you out of Victoria Park and into the heart of the Titanic Quarter. The park also has a lookout for those birds stopping over during migration. There are a lot of birds to see as you walk round the park., BUT, what it no longer has, is 5 things which made the park what it was for those of us getting on a bit in years.
It used to have a lovely stone bridge which took you across to the football fields, now it’s a metal bridge, maybe it was unsafe now, who knows.
It used to have boats on the water and many a day I spend being a pirate and going onto the little island. The park also used to have a GREAT outdoor swimming pool. I can’t help thinking how popular that would be today. The park back then was FULL of lovely swans, but with the city Airport getting busier and busier, for safety reasons, they had to get rid of the swans. The last thing missing nowadays is the Bandstand. I remember many a hot day sitting on a deck chair listening to the bands that performed.
Back then you could very easily spend the whole day in Victoria Park.
I realize that time moves on and what we have today is a good running track, a great playground for the kids, a place to have a picnic or Bar-B-Que, Bowling Greens for those that play.
All in all I would say that it’s still a great wee park, but IMHO, nowhere near as good as when I was growing up in the 50’s and 60’s, but as I say, times moves on.
