We really enjoyed our stay at this quiet, well maintained cottage. We found it as it was described. It is spacious and had everything we needed as a family. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked almost every night. It was far better than staying in a hotel and is close to Belfast. Our boys had fun walking down to the beach on Belfast Lough. May Lodge surpassed our expectations and when we visit Belfast we will certainly stay again.

A group of 5 of stayed here very comfortably during our UK Tour of Evita. We are a mixture of performers and musicians and all in all we had a brilliant experience of Belfast, made better by having May Lodge to relax in after a hard day's work at the Opera House. The location of the Lodge is beautiful by the coast and the train station a very short walk away, meaning our journeys into town were very quick and easy to make. It feels like a proper family home and we enjoyed having the chance to cook for each other and relax in comfort without it feeling crowded at all. The owners made us feel especially welcome and I would recommend this letting to anyone wishing to visit Belfast! Many thanks from us all! :)

We stayed here for a week in July 2013 when the weather was good. Staying in the lodge was like staying in a family home, with all facilities and a really friendly owner who would do anything for you. The quality of the furnishings was excellent. The location is close to the shore (private access) and close to some shops and restaurants, with easy bus access to Belfast.
We had a lovely time.

Great location. Only took 15 mins to get to East Belfast. Very convenient for shopping centre (including M&S). We loved the access to the shore and cycle path. Well equipped.
One slight quibble is there is only one bathroom; for 6 guests; 2 toilets would have been better.
We did find it disturbing that the owners came in while we were out (ostensibly to collect the visitor book) as we felt that we were paying enough to ensure privacy.
There was a dirty towel in our bedroom but I'm sure that was an oversight.
